While the jury is still out on the success of COP 26, working towards climate change technologies is really Hobson's choice facing most countries and corporates. There has been progress on the investments in the core technologies to mitigate climate change. 

- Mitigating GHGs is the core focus and we see increased patenting activity on this front

- There are also technologies being developed in mitigating the impact of energy generation and distribution

- Energy-efficient computing is also emerging as a focus area

It is evident that a lot more will need to be done to mitigate the crisis, but all signs point to an exponential increase in investments being made in clean technologies. While we might have the answers technology-wise, political will is a whole other story!
